This is the last post I will do for this semester. I’m not sure what to write about, but I guess I will explain what I am going to do this summer. Today is officially the last day of classes and I am very excited. We have had our pool up in our back yard for a few weeks now, and although we have only swam in it 1 time since we put it up, I’m sure we will be using it a lot this summer. I wish it would get warm and stay warm. The weather is changing so much it’s hard to wake up each day and know whether to put jeans or shorts on; or even what to send my son to school in.
I love being outside and I have always been an outside person. Although I am very, very highly allergic to poison ivy, I try to stay away from it. I love taking my kids to the park and letting them run some steam off and get some energy out. My 15 month old son loves to walk around and be curious. He plays with everything possible, including the things he knows he shouldn’t touch; but I guess human nature and curiosity will get the best of him in these situations. When we take him to the park he loves to go down the slides head first. He will walk up to the slide (from the top) and get on his hands and knees and go head first down. The first time he ever did this scared the crap out of me, but then I realized he loved it and was doing it on purpose. He hates the swings though. He used to love our swing at home (the inside baby swing), and he wouldn’t sleep in his crib because he only wanted to sleep in his swing. Now he hates them, he will scream and put his arms up trying to get me to pick him up until I pull him out of the swing.
My son was born in February so when he was a few months old we put him in a tube and into our pool and he loved it, he could hardly hold his head up yet he loved to be in the swimming pool. Now he is used to being in the bath tub in warm water and I am so worried he isn’t going to like the pool because it is cold water. This is something he is definitely going to have to get used to because we are an outside, swimming family. We love the water. My daughter is 4 and can barely touch the bottom of the pool, and last year she hated it because she was scared of the water, but this year she loves it. So I think this summer will be a great summer.
I am taking a break from school, although my husband will be in school this summer, I won’t be. It is going to be so nice to take a break and relax. I am going to get a job this summer and work when my hubby isn’t at school. I have an interview at Best Buy this week, so wish me luck and hopefully I will do pretty well. I hope everyone has a great summer!
