Last couple weeks!!!

So I had a very interesting last couple weeks. Last week was spring break and was very fun and relaxing. I actually for once put off all my school work and focused on my family. We went to my hometown Sullivan, MO to visit with my family, which was actually a last minute decision. Last Tuesday my son had his 1 year shots, which was very upsetting, and believe it or not, I cried. It was so sad watching my son scream because he had 2 shots in each leg. I made my husband hold him down while he was getting his shots and I stood behind my husband and the nurse who gave him the shots and listened to my baby boy scream, so I cried. I felt so bad for him, and I hate needles myself, so I would never wish this upon him, but I kept telling myself it was for the best, to keep him from getting sick in the future. After he had his shots, I picked him up right away to hold and comfort him. On our way home from the doctor’s office, we decided to drive to Sullivan to see my family. One because my son is 1 now and my grandmother still has not seen him; and two because we just bought a 1996 Trans Am with T-tops for my husband and he wanted to drive it around. So what better than to do both things at the same time?

My trip to Sullivan was great, although my father and I are still currently not speaking, and I also just found out he has gotten married; which I didn’t know anything about until about a month after it happened. I visited and went back to my mom’s house and we planned on staying the night but my son wouldn’t lay down and go to sleep so we had to just head home at like 2 in the morning. But other than that, we had a great time.

Last night we bought a new HD flat screen TV for our bedroom. It also has a blue-ray disc player attached to it so we are very excited to actually lie down in our room and watch TV.

My husband proposed to me 2 years ago today. He was very sneaky when he did this. I lived in Branson when we met, and there was one spot we went to that was “our spot”. My husband told me one day (04-02-08) that we were going to go visit my friend Annette. He talked to Annette, without me knowing anything about it, and they both had this whole thing planned out. Anyways, when we were almost to Branson, I called Annette to let her know we were almost there and she said to wait a little bit before we came over because she was getting ready and wasn’t ready for us to come over yet. My husband asked me what I wanted to do, so because I really like the lake, I told him I wanted to go there until Annette was ready. The lake happened to be “our spot” and had my husband not known I would say the perfect place for him to propose, this wouldn’t had been the perfect plan. When we got to the lake, we sat there for a while enjoying the weather and the water before he proposed. He then asked me if I was ready to leave, and as we stood up, he got down on one knee and said the most romantic things possible, and pulled out a half carat diamond engagement ring, and I said yes. After we got into the car, he told me that Annette knew he was going to propose and wanted her to tell us not to come over yet because he knew I would want to go to the lake. I called Annette and she was so happy, and at first acted like she didn’t know what I was talking about until I told her he already proposed. That was one of the best days of my life.
