This week!

This has been a very long week for me. I feel like today is never going to end. We just found out yesterday that my husband’s uncle has passed away. We are going to the funeral on Monday. My husband has a huge family, which has its advantages, but also has its disadvantages as well. One advantage of a big family is that you always have people around when you need them. One disadvantage is since you have such a large family; there are more funerals to attend. I’ve had 2 funerals in my whole life, because my family is very small; but I have been to 3 funerals in 3 years with my husband’s family; that’s 1 a year. I hate funerals because they are so sad, and watching the people I care about cry is even more sad. I remember going to my husband’s aunt’s funeral and I had only met her a couple times and was ok going to the funeral, but when I saw his grandpa crying, it made me cry. I cried for someone I didn’t even know. It’s a very depressing moment for everyone; I wish everyone could just live forever and not die.

Since my husband and I have bought a new TV for our bedroom, and mounted it on the wall, we got a cable box to record our shows on so we can watch movies and whatnot in our bedroom. It’s nice to relax and watch a movie with my husband. My 1 year old son laid with me and watched the movie Cars with me. That is his favorite movie, and although he didn’t really lay with me because he wanted to get up and play with the curtains hanging behind the bed, it was nice relax.

My son is playing baseball this year. We are so very excited because last year he was playing tee-ball and it was so cute. He was the first one on his team to actually slide into home base, and we watched all the other kids start to do it after him lol, it was so adorable. But this year he is playing real baseball, and they are using a pitching machine. It is a lot more to get used to, going from a tee-ball stand holding the ball for you, to a machine throwing the ball towards you. I think it will take him a little bit to get used to, but he’s catching on fast.

My husband bought bubble bath soap for my 1 year old son for Easter. It has Lightning McQueen from the movie Cars on it, which he loves. We have been giving him bubble baths lately and he loves it. He will lay on his belly and act like he’s swimming; then when he sits up, he has bubbles on the entire front side of his body, including a bubble beard. I love watching my son play and laugh. That is something I think every mother loves, is watching their child have fun and see a big smile on their face. My baby is sleeping now, but I think when he wakes up, I may take him to the park since my husband is at the movies with a couple friends of his.

  1. It seems like there is always a certain time of the year that family passes. My wife's aunt passed away the day after Easter and she had an uncle last Thanksgiving...Wait until you get roped into buying your son the new cars toys with the moving eyes..My boys just couldn't decide on what one they wanted so we ended up with all 10 of them..
