Man Arrested for Calling 911, Asking for Sex

Joshua Basso, 29 year old male from Tampa, FL, was arrested for repeadedly calling 911 for sex. He was making sexual comments to the 911 dispatcher, and asked her if he could come to her home. The dispatcher hung up on him, and he called 4 more times. Police showed up within 15 minutes and arrested him and charged him with making a false 911 call. He told the officers he didn't think he could get into trouble for calling 911. Basso claims he called 911 because he had ran out of cell phone minutes on his phone. He is being held without bond, but there is no indication of him having an attorney. The report says, "He is listed as unemployed with arrests for theft and other crimes dating back to 2001."

My first thought to this story was how funny it was. People do some stupid things, but this is way overboard.

This man does not have a job, ran out of minutes on his cell phone, and called 911 because he wanted sex. This is just as bad/funny as the last blog I did about the woman calling 911 on herself for drinking and driving. There are so many stupid things people call 911 for, but I think the funniest/cutest ones are when kids call because they need help with their homework. Sad thing is, this man is 29 years old, so it's not like he didn't know the difference, he just didn't care, or he is a complete idiot.

I actually enjoyed reading this report, because everyone needs a good laugh every once in a while, and today, that was mine. To bad he won't be the first/last person to do this.
